“The Logan Heights Historical Cannery Society respectfully remembers the men and
women who persevered during the days of the tuna fishing industry and in the
canneries.
We realize the importance that this era played in the development of San Diego and our
own Logan Heights district. The San Diego landscape is changing very quickly and we
would like to preserve our history in a variety of ways; including a memorial to the
cannery workers.
My family has lived in and invested in the Logan community for 85 years. I know that
there are many others out there that feel the same connection to our little piece of the
world.
Please join us in our efforts to grow the Logan Heights area and to remember all the
men and women who have come before us.
